zentangle borzoi

Zentangle is when you just let patterns flow and don't necessarily need to plan ahead which is pretty great but also stressful. I chose to do mine in the likeness of a borzoi, a Russian breed that looks kinda like a greyhound but fluffier and with a longer nose. For the most part, the project was nice and fun to do, but every time I added anything I was worried it was a mistake, ESPECIALLY when I started to color in everything.

scratchboard

Scratchboard was weird eugh. I beat down really hard when I draw, so I ended up scratching into the silver part under the black and making it a little less shiny. It's supposed to be me ;0. But like, a spooky phantom or something. I think it turned out pretty great, myself.

hand

We were told to draw a hand to scale, so I drew my hand drawing other hands while drawing with my hand. It looked pretty plain, so I added the marker parts as an afterthought to make it more lively. I also mixed some of the watercolor pencil with water so it would be smoother. The paper got kind of bubbly though.

one point perspective drawing

I'm not really feeling this one all to much, but others have told me they like it so that's nice. I used a lot of weird color mixes and it got kind of muddy, and the floor kind of looks like it bubbles up a little. The perspective aspect is fine though, and that person in the lower left turned out pretty dang good. The shrek poster I snuck in there could be blamed on my little sisters 8th grade play this year, which was shrek the musical.
